Background
As part of a comprehensive approach to improve long term budgetary planning, the Ross Valley School District board made the decision to implement solar power into their long range planning. White Hills middle school is one of three installations in the district and this system will meet most of White Hill’s electrical energy needs. This installation was custom designed and installed by Unlimited Energy and will provide decades of clean, quiet, and cost effective electricity at a predictable cost. The Ross Valley School District is one of the first K-12 school districts in California to incorporate Renewable Energy into its operations.
23 kW Roof Mounted System
This 23 Kilowatt system was a pilot project that was eventually adopted by the district. The Ross Valley School District realized benefits of their first PV system and approved the installation of additional PV systems for other schools. The installation of this project was also performed during the summer break eliminating any disruptions to students and teachers.
